Legal assistant Donna Burger has worked for Mr. Zauzig for 25 years, learning and growing in the job. Her role in the Litigation Group is essentially one of making sure that everyone is where they're supposed to be with all the information they need and that the paperwork is in order. She spends a great deal of time preparing legal documents and is often the first contact an injured person has with the Litigation Group.

Burger is particularly moved by the children the firm represents in medical malpractice cases. "It's hard for me, being a parent and grandparent myself, to see what these children have to go through," she says. "The best part is the satisfaction, when a case ends, of knowing that we helped those children."

Burger says it's very important when choosing an attorney, that an injured person feels comfortable not just with the attorney, but with the attorney's support staff. "Whether it's me, another assistant or a paralegal, we create a friendly and professional atmosphere." It's a responsibility no one on the teams takes lightly.
